About the course
- Course Description:
The main purpose of this course is to teach students application of Newton’s laws of motion, work, energy
and momentum principles to analyze motion and forces of particles and rigid bodies. In addition, this
course is also aimed at letting the students learn how to distinguish different types of motion and decide
appropriate technique to analyze motion of any given body.
Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs):
1. Recognize concepts of kinematics and kinetics analyses of particles and rigid bodies
2. Analyze particle motions along different paths.
3. Solve planar kinematics problems for particles and rigid bodies
4. Formulate and solve planar kinetics problems for particles and rigid bodies
